Here’s What You Should Know About Provillus For Women

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

There are as many as a quarter of the population affected with thinning hair, hair loss, and complete baldness in women. Though some are not as serious as others. However, there are a number of applications claiming to help with the condition, one such is Provillus for women. Here is the essential information.

Provillus for women is said to work in two ways, which work together to overcome the condition completely. The first step is to stop further hair loss, whilst the second is to actively generate regrowth of hair already lost, and return the sufferer to a full head of hair in ideal circumstances.

It has been known for some time that DHT, or dihydrotestosterone production is one of the main causes for hair loss to affect women. It is also known that if its production can be stopped, the hair loss itself will stop accordingly.

Provillus for women aims to stop this through a natural orally taken supplement, containing active ingredients such as biotin, magnesium and B6. A special blend, it targets DHT production and stops it dead.

The second part of the treatment, to grow hair, uses a topical solution which is applied directly to the scalp. With the active ingredient of minoxidil, blood flow is increased which provides the follicles with necessary nutrients to stimulate growth. Approved by the FDA, this application has performed well in test conditions.

It is fair to say that our understanding of hair loss is building all the time, and it is not surprising that we are now starting to see definite results from treatments such a Provillus for women. Obviously, like any treatment, there is no guaranteed success, but if you are looking from something to help, it is certainly worth a try. If you have any concerns however, have a talk with your physician.

If you want to know more about how Provillus for women can help you, watch these Provillus for Women Videos.

Stop worrying about your hair. Grow it back with Provillus for women.

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

If you have stretch marks, there is no question as to why you would seek a stretch mark remedy. Seeing stretch marks on your body can affects your self esteem, which is why most people seek the best stretch mark cream or stretch mark treatments available.

What Causes Those Horrible White Lines We Call Stretch Marks?

Stretch marks happen when skin tissue tears and the dermis breaks down. At first the skin looks sort of purplish, but overtime it turns silver and may get wider and longer. Unfortunately, cover up makeup does not help much. This is one of the most common skin changes during pregnancy.

The causes for stretch marks can vary depending on the person and the situation. Women usually get them during pregnancy. Other reasons for stretch marks could be from too much weight gain and loss. Men often find that gaining or loosing muscle could also cause stretch marks.

Stretch Marks Side Effects

Stretch marks seem relatively harmless except when it comes to self-esteem. Consider a young man who over-ate, then finally overcame his eating only to discover a nasty visual reminder left behind ” those stretch marks, and no stretch mark remedy in sight (or at least not one of which they’re aware). How discouraging! And how unsupportive of a new healthy lifestyle!

Are There Stretch Mark Remover Remedies That Really Work?

Most people are overwhelmed by the number of stretch mark creams and other treatments on the market today. Some old fashion treatments include cocoa butter which most people say doesn’t not really work. Some people have tired vitamin E or lemon juice too. While these may not work too well for many people, they do look appealing when compared to the cost (over $1,000 for one session!) laser surgery stretch mark removal treatments.

Stretch Mark Treatment: Natural Options?

Is there a natural organic stretch mark remedy? Yes, I found one that is organic, contains aloe vera, vitamin E and witch hazel that helps improve skin elasticity and flexibility of connective tissues. It also contains Centillica Asiatica which helps plump up the skin. Click here to read more…. Stretch Mark Remedy.

Can Aspirin Reduce Rosacea Inflammation?

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Can a daily aspirin help with your rosacea symptoms? Well according to Bikowski, aspirin should be your first line of defense for reducing rosacea symptoms like flushing. Dr. Bikowski even suspects that there might be a connection between migraines and rosacea.

He bases his suggestion on a recent study published in the Dermatology Times that suggests potential benefits of taking a small baby aspirin (81 mg) to help reduce rosacea flushing and swelling.

Dr. Bikowski did an informal study of his own and gave his rosacea patients one small baby aspirin daily. As a result most of them reported fewer incidents of redness and flushing. Dr. Bikowski feels that since aspirin therapy is safe for the heart and colon – why not the skin? Also, aspirin is inexpensive, and is pretty safe to take with other drugs. Please Note: If you’re not sure if aspirin is safe for you or you are taking any medications, please check with your doctor before trying aspirin therapy.

Dr Linda Sy suggests taking a baby aspirin along with antihistamines such as a 4 mg chlortimenton at bedtime. Then take a B complex that contains 50 mg of B-6 and 1 Tagament during the day time. Tagament helps block H2 receptors.

Foods To Eat For Rosacea

In addition to aspirin therapy, consider avoiding the following lists of foods because they are either high in niacin or histamines or tend to trigger rosacea flare-ups. These foods include:

-Cheese
-Soy sauce
-Spiniach
-Eggplant
-Vinegar
-Citrus fruits
-Broad leafed pods and beans

If you do consume these foods, try taking an antihistamine about two hours before to help counter the effects of the histamine. Or taking aspirin which can help reduce the effects of the niacin contained in these foods. Click here to read more on Diet For Rosacea.

Cancer and Tumours Beaten Using Traditional Herbal Remedies and Alternative Medicine. Fact or Fiction?

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

Are alternative medicines and herbal products as good as they say and do they really work? It’s a big topic But the results seem to say an emphatic yes! Are you frightened by the possibility of getting cancer? Does the word “cancer” upset you? Cancer, Its a powerful word isn’t it? A powerful source of ‘natural’ help is available to you now, it goes by the name Graviola!

Traditionally, the large majority of medical practitioners and doctors (though not all), frown on the use of alternative or herbal remedies, often describing them as ‘quack’ or ‘fringe’ medicines, simply because they are outside the range of subjects taught in medical school. Even though some of these alternative or herbal remedies show tremendous potential and have been used successfully for generations by local shamans and practitioners.

Evidence is growing in support of the fact that many of these botanical’s may be really quite beneficial. One of these herbs called ‘Graviola’ or “Annona Muricata” is showing some quite remarkable results in cancer patients, often where chemotherapy and traditional treatment didn’t work. would you use it? What would you do?

The HSI organisation or Health Sciences Institute featured an article Way back in 2001 with the headline “Billion-dollar Drug Company nearly squashes astounding research on natural cancer killer”. It goes on to say. “Breast and Colon cancer conquered with miracle tree from the Amazon found to be 10,000 times stronger than chemotherapy”. That tree was Graviola! OK, so what is Graviola?

Well, Graviola is a tree which is indigenous to the Amazon Rainforests and some other parts of South America. It’s not really a huge rainforest tree, in fact it is a relatively small evergreen “shrub” (in Rainforest terms) growing to only 5 to 6 metres tall. But in terms of having cancer cell fighting properties, it’s an absolute giant! I don’t want to bore you here, but anyone interested in beating cancer just might want to know a bit more about this potential ‘life saver’.

Lots of research has already been completed. It’s been found that a lot of the phytochemicals or annonaceous acetogenins (the chemical compounds that occur naturally in plants) found in the stem, leaves, and seeds of the Graviola tree are cytotoxic against many cancer cells and tumours. These plant parts are all used in herbal medicine.

Excellent news because, quote:- (Cytotoxic: Toxic to cells, cell-toxic, cell-killing. Any agent or process that kills cells. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are forms of cytotoxic therapy.) The HSI says in this article that the tree has undergone more than 20 laboratory studies and tests since the’70s, where it’s been shown to: Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 different types of cancer, including lung, Prostate, colon, breast, and pancreatic cancer Be 10,000 times stronger in killing colon cancer cells than Adriamycin, a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug. Without harming healthy cells, it can selectively hunt down and kill cancer cells, unlike chemotherapy.

Back in’76 a plant screening program by the National Cancer Institute also showed that Graviola displayed active cytotoxicity against cancer cells and various researchers have been following up on this research ever since and have found that Graviola was a cancer killing powerhouse. These Herbal products have been in use worldwide almost since the time when man first walked on the earth. If you or your loved ones suffer from this terrible ailment, then I would strongly recommend that you read the HSI article in full here. It’s staggering!

So, could Graviola help you in the fight against cancer? It appears that the answer is a resounding yes!

Homemade Cure For Dry Skin

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Everyone loves a good homemade cure for dry skin. These all natural recipes have been around forever and some are pretty effective. Here Ill list a few easy to use and safe dry skin remedies. While a treatment for dry skin is not necessarily a cure for dry skin, many people found relief from extremely dry skin conditions using one or all of the home remedies outlined on this page.

Dry Skin Care Tips – Home Remedies for Dry Skin

Of all the home remedies for dry skin that are effective, the most important one is to stop using soap. In fact, this tip is for everyone, regardless if they have normal skin, oily skin, or dry skin because most soaps are not pH balanced. All skin cleansers should be pH balanced. This means it should have a pH of around 7 which is neutral. If your skin care cleansers dont list the pH balance, dont buy it.

The pH measures how acidic or alkaline your cleanser is. Normal healthy skin is usually in the range of 4.2 to 5.6 and a good facial cleanser cream should also be within this range. At this level, the acid mantle (the skin surface) is in good condition and is able to protect the skin from dehydration and other damaging elements of the environment like wind, sun or bacteria. A pH below 7 is considered more acidic and above 7 is more alkaline.

Another great natural home remedy to help cure dry skin is to massage either olive or emu oil into your skin. Emu and olive oil can not only moisturize the skin; but can also heal and protect it. You should apply the oil after washing your skin, with a pH balanced cleanser, every night before bed. It is best to apply the oil while the skin is slightly damp.

Dry Skin Cure – Facial Mask

Consider a moisture mask treatment for dry skin a few times a week. This great easy to make mask is not only great for bumpy dry skin, but helps to clean pores because honey is a natural exfoliants. So it hydrates, cleans, and softens the skin. This mask is simple too. All you need is:

- 2 egg yolks – 2 to 3 teaspoons of honey

Mix the egg yolks first, then add honey and mix completely. Massage onto skin and let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse off and apply a good quality moisturizer.

Home Remedies For Dry Skin – Diet

Surprising, dry skin responds well to a healthful diet. When people look for a cure for dry skin, they hardly ever look at their diet. But just remember if you are obsessed with low fat diets and you suffer from dry skin, you might need more essential fats into your diet. Make sure to eat several servings of fruits, vegetables, and small amount of good fats such as olive oil, flax seeds, or avocados. Also, consider taking a good, quality fish oil supplement. Fish oil can also help reduce weight, cholesterol, arthritic conditions and even improve mood for those suffering from depression.

Home Old Home Remedies For Eczema

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Natural old home remedies for skin conditions such as Eczema have been proven an effective treatment. Eczema is a common skin condition with no known cure (to-date). Eczema sufferers will exhibit some or all of these symptoms: mild, moderate or intensive dryness, redness, itchiness, inflammation and blisters.

The causes of eczema are unknown however there are certain events that trigger eczema symptoms. These triggers include certain foods; allergic reactions not just to foods but also to metals and chemicals; hay fever; asthma; poor management of stress; bad circulation; other infections; sweating excessively; and more (particularly environmental conditions). Your medical history also plays a role in your predisposition for eczema as there seems to be a genetic relationship amongst families. Eczema skin conditions have been a problem for some time; natural old home remedies for eczema have been tried, and proven, over time to provide relief to sufferers.

There are many different types of eczema. These include: dandruff or Seborrheic dermatitis – a dry, itchy, flaky scalp condition which spreads if scratched; Atopic dermatitis – a chronic eczema that seems to have a genetic connection ” it runs in families; Dyshidrotic dermatitis ” red, itchy and irritated skin on the feet or hands; Contact dermatitis ” seems to be related to allergies and clears up if properly treated once the allergic reaction is cleared up; Heurodermatitis ” a stress-related skin condition, this eczema is itchy, with dry, flaky skin; Nummular dermatitis ” round, circle patches of red, flaky, and inflamed skin; and Stasis dermatitis ” related to poor circulation and found on lower legs as dry, itchy and irritated skin.

Eczema cannot spread through touch and it is not contagious (although some types of eczema can spread on your body if scratched, such as Seborrheic dermatitis). Since there are many causes, or triggers, of eczema, researchers have been unable to find a cure. However just as there are a number of triggers for eczema, there are also a number of remedies and treatments.

You can get commercial treatments for eczema; such as steroid creams, antibiotics, and UV radiation. However most of these treatments have a number of potentially serious side effects.

The alternative to commercial treatments is to use natural old home remedies for eczema. Focus on cleaning, drying and soothing the skin. Use cool water to wash the area affected with eczema (hot water aggravates the skin condition). You can also use white vinegar soaks or salt soaks for cleaning, then dry your skin thoroughly. Make sure to dry the skin thoroughly and apply a no-alcohol, no-water moisturizer. Use some of these home health remedies for moisturizing and soothing eczema conditions after washing and drying: olive oil (works well if lightly applied on a cotton ball); aloe vera ” use the gel directly from the leaf of the plant; evening primrose oil, lavender oil, and a plantain mixture.

What are your eczema triggers? Take preventative measures; if you can control your exposure to what triggers your eczema, you will find your eczema occurrences are minimized. Are your allergies the eczema triggers? Are you allergic to grass? Do you have hay fever? Do you react to contact with metal, in particular to nickel? Nickel has been found to be a common allergen among eczema sufferers (nickel is found in computer components). Do members of your family have eczema? Is there a genetic relationship? Does your eczema flare-up more when you are under stress? Find ways to manage your stress and avoid allergens; and as soon as your eczema symptoms start, try to contain and minimize the area. The smaller the area, the more quickly old home remedies will work.
