Exchange Your Gold For the Most Cash

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Lots of people in these tough economic times are looking for a quick profit by exchanging their unwanted gold for cash. You are going to have to do a little bit of simple research if you are going to get the most money when selling your gold.

I am going to try to get you headed in the right direction with a few quick tips. Exchanging your unwanted gold pieces does not need to be a hassle or an unprofitable experience.

Here is how you exchange your gold for the most cash.

The first and most important thing you need to do is collect you unwanted gold items so you can do some quick evaluation. If your unwanted jewelry is gold, it will have the karat stamp on it somewhere like 10K or 24K. The next thing you should do is find out the current market price of gold.

One good place you can start to look for the price of gold is the cable business channels. Be careful not to focus on that price too much. This is the value of gold on the open market, but it will give you a ball park price for how much your gold jewelry is worth. Do a little more research and look for the spot price of gold.

Should online gold buyers be trusted?

Online gold buyers have been around for more than a few years now. They offer a very simple service that allows you to mail your broken or unwanted gold to them for evaluation. Once the gold is evaluated, they will offer you compensation for your items.

Check to make sure that the online gold buyer that you choose has a return policy or some sort of guarantee on your jewelry. Most of the good ones will send your gold items back to you, free of charge if you are not happy with their offer.

There is no uncomfortable negotiating and you never have to feel like you are being taken advantage of. And most importantly, they typically offer more cash for your gold than brick and mortar stores do.

Caravan Insurance And Its Value At Music Festivals

Friday, March 12th, 2010

The 1970’s rock band Caravan once released a rather oddly titled album called “For Girls Who Go Plump In The Night” which, let’s be honest, isn’t the kind of thing you’d expect to read in an article about caravan insurance, even if the writer owns one (a caravan that is!) An insurance man in a caravan is perhaps not that strange, but an insurance man in a caravan listening to Caravan? No way!

I can’t remember exactly what got me thinking about this, but I think it’s to do with when I was looking over some photos from last year’s Glastonbury festival the other day and I noticed the sheer amount of caravans there in one outfit or another. Of course, being an insurance man, I immediately began thinking about the cover that these caravans may or may not have had and whether or not the underwriters knew exactly what they were being used for.

If memory serves me correctly there were caravans being lived in, housing first aid helpers, acting as tea shops (and I don’t mean mobile catering units, I mean caravans, proper ones with curtains) used as rest homes for tired musicians and even as the home of paid for showers.

In the camping areas there were caravans being used as shelter from the rain for the security staff, as meeting points for lost festival goers and as weekend homes for ageing rockers who either could no longer handle the rough nights of tent camping, or who just happened be fellow caravan fans.

Of course, another big user of caravans at music festivals are the musicians themselves. They usually have massive ones with an extra wheel at the front for steering and they use them for changing in, for hosting after-show parties in and doing whatever it is that rock-stars do.I dread to think. Saying that, I’m not sure if Caravan ever used one, that’d just be too good to be true wouldn’t it? Caravan in a caravan listening to their first album (which is called, you guessed it, “Caravan”). Or even better, maybe they went along in a convoy with their friends – a caravan of caravans including a caravan with Caravan in it, listening to Caravan!

But I digress; as I said a few long paragraphs ago, all these caravans got me thinking about the right kind of insurance to take out for this kind of venture, and whether or not any of these people had the correct insurance, I think the answer is probably not. However if you are thinking of taking a caravan to a music festival or somewhere similar, it’s definitely worth taking out the proper insurance because anything can happen in those kind of “free-partying” atmospheres where people are intent on letting their hair down and are perhaps not in their clearest state of mind and caravans can easily get damaged either by careless party people, or by simply sliding off on its own in the slippery mud, it could flood or catch fire or get blown away in the wind. Fortunately you can take out insurance policies to cover more or less anything that could happen to it, even being hit by an uninsured caravan posing as a tea shop!

Coversure are leading providers of caravan insurance if you are thinking about taking your caravan anywhere where it would be even remotely at risk, like at a music festival, you should think about taking out some caravan insurance just to be on the safe side.

Read This Book.

I’m about to disclose to you something that has cost me thousands. Malcolm Forbes emigrated from Scotland and he became one of the wealthiest men in Americahe is quoted as saying, “The dumbest people I know are those who think they know it all.” I’m going to share with you how to create real and lasting wealth by learning the way money worksall it takes on your end is to be open minded to the truth.

Most people are unaware that they consistently lose between 30% and 40% of every dollar they earn (and that is after paying taxes.) This is because you finance everything you purchase. That is right! You either lose money by paying interest to someone else for the use of their money; or you lose the interest that you could have earned on the money which you spent. Either way you lose. Welcome to the banking equation! This simple fact is one which the wealthy know, understand and use everyday but is also the one which has kept you from being rich and building lasting wealth yourself.

Now fact number two: Wealthy people own high premium participating whole life insurance. Policies underwritten by a mutual company, which offer, non-direct recognition cash value loans. This is because owning participating whole life insurance is like having your cake and eating it too, when it comes to the banking equation. Some call this over funding, but if you knew you would get everything back that you put in— with interest and without paying further taxes— would that be a problem for you? Well, for the wealthy, it is not! That is because they use the cash values in those whole life policies to finance the things they need in life. And they make money just like the banks and financing companies are making on your money right now!

“Becoming Your Own Banker” the book about the Infinite Banking Concept written by R. Nelson Nash, demonstrates how you can actually use your money to finance everything you have a need for throughout life with the whole of the principle and interest returning to YOU! A CPA or tax attorney will confirm this basic fact: “the return of your money is more important than the rate of return on your money.” This is all the Infinite Banking Concept (aka IBC) is about. This, in a tax free inflation offsetting vehicle and advice from the proper coach makes you ready to roll. You will be on your way to true wealth.

Finally:

Where do you find most banks in obscure, cheap, and inexpensive places?

If you had been using your money like banks have been using your money would you have more or less of your money right now?

Learn to recover 20- 25% of the money you are presently spending every month and take that vacation that you really need and your family deserves.

Compare Health Insurance Quotes Is The Best Healthy Advice

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Having health insurance is essential and can be well worth the money. However, each insurance company is different when it comes to coverage and pricing so it is always a good idea to compare health insurance quotes in order to find out which policy has the best bang for the buck. Each insurance policy is different and what may be covered under one plan may not be covered by another.

Having medical coverage is not only going to help in times when there is an illness as it is also to keep people from getting ill. Anything that is going to be needed for any type of medical necessity is going to be covered by this type of insurance. Those who do not have medical coverage can find that it is much more cost effective to have it than to try and pay for any procedures out of pocket.

Purchasing medicines can be very expensive as anyone who has to pay full price for prescriptions can attest to. Compare health insurance quotes and look into how much the policy holder is going to be responsible for when it comes to these medications. It is also to know if generic versions of these same drugs are going to be fully covered.

How much a person pays for their health care plan will be dependent upon many issues. Companies can offer their workers a discounted rate because most insurance companies offer rates for groups whereas individuals are always going to pay more. Another aspect that can change the price is the health of the insured. Those who have permanent medical issues are going to pay more than those who are healthy.

Most insurance companies are going to require a small payment for each doctor or hospital visit. This is going to be paid at the time of services. Just as when you pay a deductible to have your car fixed, the same is going to be required for medical care. Those who want to pay less are going t have to pay more for their policy.

If the family doctor is not on the plan that is offered by an insurance agency, then the deductible is going to be higher as the insurance is not going to cover it all. If they are, then there is no issue with using that doctor. Some may want to switch to a physician who is in on the plan to save money.

Another issue that should be looking into when you compare health insurance quotes is the co-pay amount. This is what the insured pays at the time of the service that is rendered. This is usually a small amount and is also going to be paid for any prescriptions that are required. People are going to find that there are many different co-pay amounts to choose from.

Each health insurance company is different. There are various types of policies and fee schedules attached to each of them in regards to family size, insurance needs and other considerations. Whenever you compare health insurance quotes, be sure to read the fine print to make sure that you understand what the policy entails and that you understand the benefits. When it comes to choosing an insurance policy, knowledge can translate into some serious savings.

How do you start to compare health insurance quotes at once? Here is a quite useful site to start comparing your health insurance quotes: www.InsuranceQuotes.info

Finding The Right Car Insurance Deal

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Car insurance is a requirement of the law. All drivers in the UK must be insured and driving a vehicle that you are not insured to drive is a criminal offence. There are hundreds of car insurance companies in the UK and prices can vary dramatically depending on who you are and what car you drive. We look at some of the factors that you should consider when finding the best car insurance in this article.

For instance male drivers between the ages of 17 and 25 are considered to be the one of the highest risk categories whilst woman in their 50’s are considered to be the lowest. Other factors such as your occupation and address can also affect your premiums.

You also need to understand the type of car insurance you need as if you get comprehensive insurance it will be more expensive but provides much more cover.

You will quickly see that when you are comparing car insurance quotes, that the costs charged by the various insurers and brokers can vary by quite large amounts. So whilst your circumstances are the same, each company is actually comparing the risks of you making a claim against its history of claims and specific risk factors. these vary from one company to the next, hence the difference in quotes that you may receive.

This may all sound complex, but actually it is the insurance company that does all the hard work in determining how much they will charge. All you need to do is to compare the quotes that you receive and ensure that each covers your requirements fully and yet offers you good value as well.

Common risk factors used by car insurance companies include details about the vehicle type such as the number of doors and seats. The engine size is also important as more powerful engines are more costly to insure due to their faster acceleration and top speeds. More powerful engines also generally contain more expensive parts should any repairs have to be made under insurance cover.

How far you intend to drive each year also plays a key factor in the costs of car insurance as the risks of you making a claim increase with the more miles that you travel. Travelling for business, as a rep or van driver would do, also boosts the cost of motor insurance as there is more chance of a claim being made by these sorts of drivers.

When it comes to home insurance there are some things that are wise to think about. To reduce the premiums that you pay, you may want to consider having a higher costing deductible. Life Insurance Information

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Life insurance is great for individuals that have a family, dependents and earn the most income to support their family. Life is unpredictable and it is important to ensure your family and loved ones are taken care of financially in case anything happens to you.

When shopping for life insurance in South Carolina, searching online and using the internet’s resources are a great way to educate yourself on life insurance basics, shop and compare quotes for the best life insurance policy for you. There are three different types of life insurance policies – universal life insurance, cheap whole life insurance and cheap term life insurance.

Universal Life Insurance – combines life insurance with savings. Insurers are able to have the benefits of term life insurance and combine that with tax-deferred interest accumulating savings account. Sometimes you may not even have to pay premiums during the entire policy. If your money to pay the death benefit and other costs accumulates in the tax-deferred savings portion of your policy, then premiums may not be required to keep the policy in force.

Cheap Whole Life Insurance – this type of policy will cover you for your entire life. Your death benefit and premium generally remain the same. Whole life insurance also builds cash value, which could enable you to earn a return on a portion of your premiums that the insurance company invests. Your cash value is tax-deferred until you withdraw it and you are also able to borrow against that money.

Cheap Term Life Insurance – this type of life insurance is low cost and great for young healthy individuals who are healthy and may not be able to afford cash-value life insurance premiums and want to ensure their dependents are taken care of in the event of death. Your policy will cover a pre-determined “term” which is normally one, five or ten years. Your premium payment and death benefits are only during that term. After the term you will have options to continue coverage and have the opportunity to convert to a cash-value life insurance policy.

Watch Out For More Florida Home Insurance Cancellations This Year

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

At a time when it seemed that things were starting to calm down, Florida home insurance cancellations about to continue in the coming year.

Florida’s largest private property insurance company is moving forward with an approved plan to cancel 125,000 policies on homes, condominiums, and mobile homes. While this is good news compared to the estimated 700,000 policies it was originally planning on non-renewing, this is still a significant number of Florida homeowners who are going to be scrambling to find new coverage.

Another large national company announced plans late last year to cancel another 60,000 policies as it continues to cut back its exposure in Florida. These policy cancellations might not be as big of an issue because the company struck a deal with another home insurance company in Florida to cover those homes. However, there is no guarantee that the policyholders who lose their coverage will be able to find a replacement. Homeowners in South Florida coastal counties such as Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach will struggle to find replacement coverage. It will also be difficult for those with older Florida homes and those built with wood frame construction to find replacement coverage.

Finally, local Florida home insurance companies continue to examine the risks they currently have on their books and to do selective policy cancellations. A portion of this is due to their reinsurance agreements which limit how much risk they can assume in certain zip codes. Sometimes they make a business decision to cut back on coverage especially in the South Florida counties on the coast. Finally, some of the newer Florida take out insurance companies eventually reject policies that they’ve previously taken out of the state run insurance company after discovering risks that they don’t want to be exposed to. This might be a poorly built home or one that has not been kept in good condition.

If cancellations in the coming year aren’t enough to be worried about, here is another development that could cause even more policies to be dropped. Many Florida home insurance companies are moving forward with an aggressive plan to re-inspect homes that they presently cover. Some of those homes could be in poor condition and may not be adequately protected enough to prevent hurricane damage to the home. If your home is re-inspected by your present insurance company and they find a significant difference between the condition of your home and what their records show, you could join the ranks of those who have been cancelled in the coming year.

Finally, if your Florida home insurance policy is cancelled during the coming year, it is important to pay attention to the quality of the new companies you are considering. Three companies suffered financial collapse in the last year and were taken over by the state. In addition, over half of the remaining companies still open for business lost money in the last twelve months. If you lose your Florida home insurance policy this year, now is not the time to pick a new company solely on price. It has never been more important to shop around. Select the wrong company and you could be waiting a long time to be paid after the next Florida hurricane.

Keep a close watch on the news and your mailbox as the year unfolds. This might be the year that you have to face the prospect of losing your Florida homeowners insurance coverage.

Buying Individual Health Insurance For Your Health Needs

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

In the United States, most companies provide health insurance coverage for all of their employees. If a person is self-employed or if he works for a small company that does not have that option, then he has to consider buying individual health insurance for his health needs.

The worker pays an average of either $779 a year for an individual plan or $3,515 a year for a family plan, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. In order to calculate this average, it stands to reason that many workers are paying considerably more than this for their company health coverage.

In order to find the best insurance coverage for the cheapest price, the best thing you can do is get quotes from a number of different health insurance companies. There are non-profit sites that will do this for free if you answer a few questions about your household. After reviewing your answers, they will send a list of state approved companies that have policies that will meet your specific health needs. They, also, include the website and phone number for each company.

The total cost of a family health insurance plan in the United States is $13,500 for a year. Workers only pay a portion of that price. Because of the rise in price, small companies are paying less for insurance, while their workers are paying more. In some cases, it may be smarter for them to purchase their own individual health insurance.

One of the things that affect the validity of saving money on an individual plan instead of a company plan is the area that you live and work in. Folks in the area around New York City would most likely pay more for an individual policy, while workers living in the middle northern states would pay less.

It is important for a worker to consider several benefits that a company plan offers before he decides to change to an individual plan. There are several things that would not be included in an individual plan.

The insurance company that is carried by a private company is obligated to accept every employee for coverage regardless of his health needs. They cannot cancel an employee’s insurance if he becomes ill. The law allows an employee to purchase an 18 month extension on his health insurance if he is laid off.

The company is required by law to waive the waiting period on a new employee if he was covered by insurance in his other job for a longer period than the time of the waiting period. For an example, if an employee worked fifteen months for another company and was covered by their company insurance, and the waiting period at his new job is nine months, then the waiting period is canceled and his entire insurance coverage is effective immediately.

Don’t cancel your company insurance until you are sure that you have been accepted for the individual insurance plan that you applied for. Private insurers have a long list of reasons for refusing coverage, and you may fall within that list. It would not be unusual for a company to deny you coverage.

Comparing policies and quotes from various insurance companies is the wise way to go. Read over the policies, and if there is something you don’t understand, call them and ask about it. This is the only way you will be able to make a knowledgeable decision about buying individual health insurance.
